Our 2 yard mini skip is a great choice when you only have a small amount of waste to dispose of. Ideal for minor home projects, garden clearances and general household rubbish, it provides a simple on-site solution for customers across Portsmouth and nearby areas.
Despite its compact size, this skip can hold roughly 20–30 refuse sacks (around four wheelie bins), making it suitable for clearing sheds, tidying outdoor spaces, or tackling small DIY jobs without the inconvenience of loading your car and visiting the tip.
Because it takes up very little space, the 2 yard skip can usually be placed neatly on a driveway or in a small garden, even where access is limited.
When you’ve finished filling it, our team will arrange prompt collection and ensure the contents are processed responsibly, prioritising recycling wherever possible.

We deliver skips throughout the day, normally between 7:00am and 6:00pm, unless you’ve arranged a specific time with us beforehand. After your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you an email with all the key information, including who to contact if you need to make changes or ask any questions.

Placing the skip usually takes around 10 to 30 minutes, depending on access to your property, parking conditions and traffic at the time.

If you need your skip delivered at a particular time — for example before work starts or later in the day — just let us know when you book and we’ll do everything we can to fit it into the schedule.

Skip Delivery Details

Road Placement & Permit Requirements

If your skip needs to be placed on a public road or highway, a permit from Portsmouth City Council (PCC) will be required. Please select this option when booking and we will arrange the permit on your behalf.

PCC road permits cost £60, require at least 5–7 working days’ notice, and are typically valid for 7 days. If you need the permit for a longer period, extensions can be arranged for an additional fee.

In some locations, a parking suspension may also be necessary to reserve space for the skip. This can be checked before booking and, if required, will incur an additional £60 charge.

For skips placed on public highways outside of PCC jurisdiction, a minimum of 7 working days’ notice is required and a permit fee of £75 will apply.

Please let us know at the time of booking if your skip will be placed on the road so the appropriate arrangements can be made.
